hi everyone
thank you Sheila for the enchanting evening featuring your creative, personalized questions concealed in little mystery packages. unforgettable! thank you
also for the table laden with goodies including your own baking. you were the sweetness at the bottom of the book club xxoo (Sort of a pun on of course our title by Alan Bradley - Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie.)
moving on- in August Brenda will host our little gang of lecteurs to discuss the Cellist of Sarajevo by Canadian Steven Galloway. when September rolls
around we will be meeting to discuss a recent book by a Montreal born novelist Joanna Goodman The Home for Unwanted Girls
Joanna Goodman does not shy away from focusing on some controversial things that happened in Canada’s history in this moving novel. She presents the
divide between English and French in Quebec in the 1950’s both from a family perspective as well as a societal one.
