It takes us a while but we finally managed to read probably one of the most important novels of the last century. Written by Alan Paton this book should be on everyone's list. We were extra spoiled to pull in Alison a friend who grew up in South Africa in the 60's and 70's and witnessed the excesses of apartheid first hand.
